New Life UMC welcomes everyone — no matter where you've been, what you believe, or where you are in your faith journey. We are a congregation that affirms the dignity and belonging of all people, including our LGBTQ+ siblings in Christ. You don't have to have it figured out to belong here.
We are a United Methodist congregation shaped by the Wesleyan tradition — rooted in scripture, reason, tradition, and lived experience. We believe faith grows through honest questions, not in spite of doubt. John Wesley called it "practical divinity": faith lived out in community, justice, and grace.
New Life UMC has been woven into the fabric of East Knoxville for decades. We run a free food pantry every fourth Tuesday, tend a community garden, partner with Second Harvest Food Bank, and serve fellowship meals — because loving your neighbor isn't optional. It's the whole point.
