Did you know that New Life receives monthly donations of bread, pastries, and community bagels that we sort and distribute to our local food pantry? Join us to sort and bag bagels at the church. Then, hop in a car and help spread the love of bread delivery to our neighbors. You are invited to serve in one or both of these opportunities, including our produce gleaning efforts. In need of a delivery? Call the church at (865) 546–5153.
Each summer and fall, we partner with Nourish Knoxville and Concord United Methodist to engage in produce gleaning from the Nourish Markets. The gleaned produce, along with community bagels, is distributed to those in need of food through our local food pantry. Join us at New Life UMC at 2:00 p.m. on the 4th Saturday of each month to help sort and distribute all that area farmers generously donate to this ministry. Don’t hesitate to call the church office if you or someone you know is in need of food.
We begin filling orders in late summer! Our entire church hand makes our Famous Hot Tamales according to an old family recipe, and we delight in sharing them with our community. We will begin making our tamales in late August, then will sell them for $20 per dozen. Any profit from these tamales will support our Outreach Ministries projects, including initiatives like community bagels and our food pantry, as well as our produce gleaning efforts.
Join us each Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. for our weekly Bible Study, where we also gather to share community bagels and discuss how we can support our local food pantry and engage in produce gleaning.

A beloved New Life tradition — our entire church family hand-makes tamales together each fall. Orders open in late summer. These homemade tamales make wonderful gifts and are a delicious way to support the church. Watch our Facebook page for ordering details.

Each summer and fall, we partner with Nourish Knoxville and local farms to glean fresh produce for our food pantry and community garden. Extra harvest from our own garden is shared freely with neighbors throughout the growing season.
